Purity; Devotion to the Holy Spirit

Today’s intent is Purity and a day of Devotion to the Holy Spirit. There are many opinions, perspectives, theories and theological philosophies regarding the Holy Ghost. The debating of men and their religions can have their way with that. But if we are intending on devoting ourselves to recognize more fully and nurture that spiritual side of our being, then we, for ourselves need some truth, thoughts for focus as to what we believe.

Quite simply, we are the physical vehicles, matter, for the Holy Spirit, the soul, the Spark of the Divine. It may be difficult for some or many, to have understanding or wrap our heads around these things, spiritual things, as our senses, for the most part, do not recognize outside of the physical, but the will and those senses can work in conjunction with Holy Spirit. For the “comforter” is with us.Outside the boundaries of structured, societal thinking exists the mystical, the spiritual.

1Cor. “Do you not know your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God?”

Do you not know your bodies are members of Christ?”

So with an intentional focus of purity today, “control your own body in holiness and honor.” 1Thes.4 This is purity.

Purity is something with great depth and it would be immensely difficult in our humanness to arrive at naturally. This is another reason to recognize what dwells within us.

I read somewhere “the battle for purity is fought deep in the recesses of the heart.” Keeping Purity in good perspective, we do not have to be prudes without pleasure. So in our humanness, we understanding this point can grow forward. For where your heart is there you are. What have you in your heart today? “Those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart.”

A Blessing-

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
